What are extended hours orders and how do I use them? 🇸🇦

Written by Sultan Alhayani

Extended hours trading lets you place orders on US stocks outside of regular market hours - giving you more flexibility to trade at times that suit you. ⏰

⚠️ Extended hours are available for US stocks only.

🕒 Extended Hours Trading Times (KSA Time)

The US follows Daylight Saving Time (DST), which shifts trading hours for Saudi investors:
💡 DST starts on the second Sunday of March and ends on the first Sunday of November.

🌞 With Daylight Saving Time (March – November):

  • Pre-Market: 11:00 AM – 4:30 PM

  • After-Hours: 11:00 PM – 3:00 AM

🌙 Without Daylight Saving Time (November – March):

  • Pre-Market: 12:00 PM – 5:30 PM

  • After-Hours: 12:00 AM – 4:00 AM

  • 📌 How to Place an Extended Hours Order:

1️⃣ Go to the Company Profile of the stock you want to trade
2️⃣ Tap Trade → Choose Buy or Sell
    3️⃣ Select your Order Type
4️⃣ Enable the “Include Extended Hours” option
5️⃣ Review your order details and confirm ✅

⚠️ Important Notes:

  • Order Types: Market, limit, and stop orders are all supported during extended hours

  • Not all stocks support market orders during extended hours

  • Lower Liquidity & Higher Volatility: Extended hours sessions typically have fewer buyers and sellers, which may affect pricing and trade execution

  • All trades are executed by our brokerage partner. InvestSky does not execute any trades or hold client funds.
